About The Valkyrie Bar

The Valkyrie Bar was founded in December 2016 by Stephen Richford and Katrina Edwards. Previously owning The Swan, in Alcester before owning The Trumpet Inn, in Evesham they were looking for a further adventure when they came across the building which is now known as the Valkyrie Bar.

This building stood in the centre of Evesham town on the Market Square. It was run down and hadn't been open for many years.

​

Steve and Katrina liked the thought of a challenge to turn this run-down closed building into a live music venue.

​

There was a lot of history behind this building years ago being a fire station to more recently a nightclub in the 90's and 00's.

​

In December 2016 Steve and Katrina begun the task of turning this building from an eye sore to a stylish live music venue with a Viking theme.

​

In January 2017 The Valkyrie Cafe Bar opened to now being called The Valkyrie Bar.

​

Hosting a wide range of live music nights booking bands from all over the country and playing various genres of music to recently hosting comedy and cabaret Drag nights.

​

The Valkyrie Bar also have darts and pool teams who play regularly.
